| About
On May 30, 2004, a meeting was held in Winnipeg which resolved to create a Canadian Society for Jewish Studies. The purpose of this society is to provide a venue for the presentation of Jewish studies research and information, primarily for faculty members, graduate students, and independent scholars in Canada. Since then, we have grown to a membership of thirty-seven, representing faculty, librarians and students at thirteen institutions from six provinces. There is still considerable room for growth in our membership, and I urge each of you to talk with your colleagues and make CSJS known to them. In its short history, the CSJS has created a listserv for the dissemination of information related to Jewish studies in Canada. It can be found at: http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/csjs/
